So I've been attempting to incorporate some more yoga into my weekly routine because I've read it is really beneficial for marathoners in training. With so many things going on with work and training I was finding it difficult to go to the classes at local yoga spots. For a while, I was trying to do my own routines every morning from what I knew from the few classes I had taken previously but was struggling to come up with solid routines. Then, I discovered Down Dog, a free yoga app.
It's safe to say I'm now obsessed with this app. I had tried a few others but they offered limited routines or time limits. With Down Dog, you basically pick the level of yoga you want to do, the time limit, and if you'd like there to be music in the background. Then you hit start and voila! Yoga away!
Every time you hit start it's a different routine. I've only been practicing the beginner stage but the flow is amazing. And it has been very helpful for my training. I've been a little sore lately and practicing yoga has really helped me stretch out and focus on my breathing.
